Will there ever be a printable set of docs to match the online documentation? I find it easier to scan thru printed docs while working on a project.

Hello,

Sorry not to have seen your question before I went on vacation! Anyway, here's a partial response from the Laszlo "doc guy": We may in some future release provide PDFs of the documentation; at least of the Developer's Guide.

We've done some experiments and have found that we can produce "almost servicable" PDFs from our current sources. That's the good news.

The bad news is that doing so requires some hardwired kludges to our doc tools, which are still evolving. (The live examples make our tools tricky.) We don't have the resources, however, to maintain the tools, create content, and extend the tools to hand-generate PDFs. So at this point we're putting our energies first into creating more and better content.

The next LPS release will have greatly (we hope) improved documentation. We hope you'll take a look at it. After we get some feedback on that we'll look again at where PDFs fall on the priotization list.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Documentation always gets hit hardest in the development cycle don't they? I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for any new docs in future releases of the product that can help me out in learning how to best leverage the Laszlo toolset.

Thanks again!
