An issue was discovered deploying LPS into Websphere 4.0.x on Windows XP/2K which prevents the LPS from compiling LZX applications.
Tested Versions:
4.0.1
4.0.2
4.0.5
5.0
The actual defect is within websphere and its response to ServletContext.getRealPath().
This issue does not affect any other certified servlet containers including IBM Websphere 4.0.1 / 4.0.5 / 5.0 on Linux
Workarounds:
1) Deploy LPS in a different servlet container if Windows is a requirement.
2) Deploy LPS and Websphere on Linux.
