You can reference .mp3 files for audio playback but there are some limitations:
- The file must have a bitrate of 160 Kbps or less.
- It's sample rate must not be greater than 44.100 kHz
- It can also have only ID3v1.0 tags. Anything greater seems to cause it to not be recognized.
