Hello,

we created a visual modelling framework for modelling UML, DBs, Workflows, etc. in Laszlo applications. It's still in it's early stages, but fully working, so it may be helpfull, for some of you. It's published under the LGPL.

You find the sources attached. Simple unzip it and run Demo.lzx. You will find a complete demo for all functions.

There is no project site yet, but if you want to receive updates or contribute, drop me a note at lzx@assa-systems.de.

Greetings from Germany,
Markus

Someone uploaded it on a public server. Have a look at for the demo:

Thank you Sebastian!

Hi Markus,

I am also looking for something similar, and am evaluating Laszlo for the same. The demo you posted is promising, but I am looking for more features like "rubberbanding". Also, I would prefer the runtime to be DHTML rather than Flash.

Are the sources for your GPL application hosted somewhere on the WWW? If so, please point it to me. You can write to me offline at binil@thomas.gmail@com (please interchange the @ and .)

Thanks,
Binil

Hi Binil and Marcus,

I'm looking for a way to build process workflow diagrams using Laszlo. Like binil, I'm also looking for something that can draw the connecting arrows between the boxes. If you guys have anything available, can you please share with me? My email address is gaurav_pal.bmc@com (please interchange the @ and .)

Thanks

Hi Gaurav,

modelling workflows was the intention for starting the framework. But since the project for which we needed the framework was cancelled, we didn't make any improvements since the published version. In fact it was only a technology demo for our customer.

Maybe we will continue our work in Q1/07 (for a different project). Maybe we can help each other creating a full fledged workflow modelling component. Just drop me a note.

BTW: What do you mean with "draw the connecting arrows between the boxes"? You just have to grab the red handle at the box to create connections.

Cheers, Markus
