I thought i'd just drop people a line and let them know that it seems bea jrockit 8.1 sp1 is incompatible w/ lps (at least LPS DE). The following error always occurs: "Error: No request type: media".
I tried the -Duser.language=en. When I switched to switched to the sun jvm everyworked (both with lps core(using orion to see if it works) and the lps-tomcat). However, orion 2.0.2 seems to work like a charm with lps-1.0.2. Any ideas on if laszlo are going to support jrockit? I have found it is much faster than sun's jvm.
Thanks,
Vinay

Interesting,
We did our own testing with and early versino of jrockit and found it to actually be considerably slower that sun's jvm (2x worse at the time).
I'll put this one back on our list and see what things look like for lps 2.0.
If you can turn debug logging on from the WEB-INF/lps/config/lps.properties file, retry with jrockit, and snd back the defailed lps.log file from within $TOMCAT_HOME/work/ I maybe able to find you a workaround.
Thanks!

Hi,
Alright attached are my logs.
The first (lps-1.0.2.log) is without -Duser.language=en
The second (lps-1.0.2-user_en.log is with -Duser.language=en.
both are running jrockit8.1sp1
thanks,
Vinay

I'm still testing here.
FYI, lps 2.0 beta on Windows works fine
against jrockit8.1sp1 1.4.1_03 in my
minimal testing. I suspect lps 1.0.x will work fine against jrockit8.1sp1 on windows, too.
On to linux... which appears to be where you're testing things...You're using 2.4.23-vs1.20,
which I don't have here right now... but I'm hoping the problem isn't kernel specific...

Hey there,
This turns out to be a bug in lps 1.0.x
(actually on any OS); the bug occurs in any JRE
that reports java.vm.version in a form other than
N.N, where N is an Integer.
(happens against blackdown as well).
It's a bug in lps since it should be able to handle other forms, espcially since they're entirely legal.
It's fixed in 2.0, which should be available "soon".
If you really need this fixed in 1.0.x, give a holler. We don't have plans to patch 1.0.x anytime soon.

Wow,
that was quick. Thanks for all the help. A couple of Q's.
1) Do you guys plan to support orion or oc4j (my company uses oc4j 9iASR2) right now.
2) How far away is 2.0; i know you can't be specific but ...
3) Are you guys going to release anymore gui components (like redmond) in 2.0?
thanks,
Vinay

We've heard that our product works fine in Orion,
but we've yet to put it on our official list.
If you are in need of deploying on Orion,
please let us know.
It's in beta now. See lwong@laszlosystems.com
if you wanna get in on it.
We've got a drastically improved component set
in 2.0. The redmond set was particularly weak.
