Creating a txt file on the client

How i create a txt file named (for exemple "abc.cdf")on the client if i have an edittext with de contents ?

Is it possible?

For example, i have an edittext with the content
" abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz" and i need to write this to an archive. How i do this ?
