Trying to install the developer demo on a Windows system. Each time the installer runs, I am sent to Sun to dl a JDK and it quits...but I've got a JDK (1.4.2_01) installed, it's on the path, and there's a JAVA_HOME defined.
Any ideas?

Just to be sure, you have the JDK installed - not the JRE, right?
Also how did you install the JDK? Did you run the installer it came with?
As a first step (if it's not too hard), you might want to try re-running the JDK installer then trying again.
Take care,
Antun

Full JDK 1.4.2_01 is installed (via installer...)
I'll try re-running the install. But it's there and other apps find and use it....

Hey there,
Are you clicking the installer to start it?
We've seen one strange, hard-to-reproduce problem where the installer can't find java when it's run from the cygwin command line.

Also, please note... we've discovered that
running against jdk 1.4.2 will require copying
$LPS_HOME/WEB-INF/lib/xalan.jar to
$TOMCAT_HOME/common/endorsed/xalan.jar
($LPS_HOME is the path to the LPS-enabled webapp).
