Kranking an app as part of a daily build

We are close to releasing a Laszlo-based app to our customers and so we have begun kranking it in order to improve startup time. This works just as hoped.

However, as we try to incorporate the kranking into our regular build process, I am wondering if kranking requires the Laszlo server to be started on the build machine. Is there a way to invoke Krank via the command line, i.e., something that can be easily done by an ant script?

Yes i would also like to know any means of actually automating kranking process on development machine.
