I am working hard to find a way to integrate lzx pages into JSR168 portlets?

My current server configuration:

Laszlo server
eXo platform
JonAS
Tomcat (backup httpd)
Chromium X15
Linux Gentoo

Any suggestion ?

Hi Jean-Francois Weemaes,

I am interested in the idea myself. I was not sure if the concepts were compatible.

I assume that they are but since I am not an expert at Laszlo I wanted to ask the following:

1. Are Portals compatible with Dashboards (as they are represented in Laszlo)?
2. Do you un the Presentation Server on top of an Application Server?

3. Can you integrate an existing email system such as Lotus Notes?

4. Can you integrate a Centralised Log On system (ie. one that logs you on to Laszlo, Lotus Notes, Websphere, Tomcat applications, etc.) using LDAP?

I noticed that the Dashboard example looks nice but would be just the thing if I could achieve the above.

In Laszlo 3.0, I have been informed (in this forum) that complex types in SOAP are enabled.

What I suggest u guys do is look at the WSRP ( Web Services for Remote Portals) standard.

This will allow u to communicate with the portal server using SOAP.

Whilst the current implementation of WSRP cannot be interfaced from LPS2.2.1 (because of the lack of support for complex types), people will need to wait until LPS 3.x - either that or write a compatibility layer.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Thanks Mike.

This is not exactly what I had in mind, but since I put up my previous post I have learnt that some of the things that I was wondering about are possible.

I appreciate your comments, I also have come to this conclusion. Although, I was looking for a more integrated approach to Laszlo and portlets.
