Me again :)

I have one more development-oriented question. Assuming that in an application that I use Laszlo to create a "standalone" SWF or two, just because it is faster for me than Flash, are there any constraints around that?

The way I understand it, one the SWF is generated, then all is done and I could still play with datasets, making requests, etc.

Is there anything that you *can't* do with a laszlo-generated standalone SWF, that you absolutely need the Laszlo server for?

*bump*

I need this too...
I've used lzc to compile a swf but it doesn't work

heres 2 examples:
http://teknikill.net/laszlo/test.swf
http://teknikill.net/laszlo/amazon.swf

Any idea why they don't work?

And could laszlosystems provide a way to upload a lzx and download a swf online? That would be a great service.

Thanks
David

i have similar question. is laszlo server absolutely necessary to run the applications let's say i do not have to provide any conictivity to the server data bases, etc. may i create standalone SWF and keep it on regular HTTP server ?
+ question from the previous post "And could laszlosystems provide a way to upload a lzx and download a swf online?" that would be interesting.
