Hello!

How could I upgrade tomcat-5.0.24 to tomcat-5.5 in LPS directory?

Or LPS can work only with this version 5.0.24?

I'm a newby, please help me.

Thanks

Laszlo has not tested LPS with Tomcat 5.5. This is not to say that it won't work - in fact, it likely will. However, there are a number of changes to the Tomcat config files that is bundled with LPS that would have to be redone for Tomcat 5.5. I am not sure what work this entails, I suspect it isn't too diffecult.

Mostly it's a matter of getting the scripts correct. Laszlo has made a number of changes to these.

Why do you want to switch to Tomcat 5.5?

Laszlo has no current plans to upgrade the version of the embedded Tomcat.

My recommendation is that you download the "core" release from http://www.laszlosystems.com/developers/download/ (select 'LPS Core for any OS'). Then follow the deployment guide that is included with it that will tell you how to install LPS as a servlet in the servlet container of your choice (Tomcat 5.5 being one such).

Should you choose this route, we (Laszlo) would, of course, appreciate your feedback on the process and any caveats you might encounter.

Thanks - Yossie Silverman

Ok, I'll do what you recommended.
I have Tomcat 5.5 and will try to install LPS Core.
Thanks for help.
