There's a release we're testing internally which will have Unicode, Flash 6 support, and a number of other goodies. Shouldn't be too long now before there's a beta out for testing.

i have not been following laszlo for a while since i found out about the unicode support. is there any update? what version will support i18n?

Unicode is fully supported now. There are a couple of different approaches people are using for i18n.

I will add some email transcripts of discussions of how people have implemented message catalog facilities.

There is still no library for internationalized numeric, date, and currency formatting, but there are several implemented in Javascript that might be usable from external sources.
